Hello,
I have a small problem, and I would like some advice if possible:
I just found a CD-R that has tracks in .cda. I wanted to see what it was, but I can't open these tracks! I tried with Windows Media Player, VLC, QuickTime Player, RealPlayer...actually with a bit of everything; I even downloaded "DBpoweramp converter" to see if I could convert them to mp3...but every time I get an error that says "Windows Media Player cannot find the file" or "cannot open this type of file."
I also tried to play it on the DVD player or the stereo...nothing works, it won't play...
Just a note: the file icon is a music note on a video tape...
I would like to know if you have any idea how to open this type of file or if, in your opinion, the CD is ready to be thrown in the trash...?
Thank you in advance for your responses!
Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.6.3

So these files weren't burned onto the CD but simply copied and pasted from an audio file that was on the computer, am I wrong? Otherwise, I don't see how and why these files ended up on the CD and can't be read!.... Well, in any case, I will never be able to play these audio files again, right? So the CD(-R) is unusable? Thank you anyway for your response! =)
Try what I told you to do, using CDex.
If there is music present on the CD, it will let you know and you will be able to convert them to MP3 or WAV files.
