Make sure that the battery of you Blackberry is fully loaded.
Take out the battery from your Blackberry.
Prepare the USB-miniUSB cable.
Go to Blackberry Software Update via your service provider.
The file I downloaded is:
8520wifiM_PBr5.0.0_rel1682_PL5.2.0.104_A5.0.0.1036_Proximus.exe
Execute the program.
This will be placed in:
c:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Apploader
You will find there a file called Loader.exe
Execute this file.
You will get a screen called Blackberry - Welcome to the Application Loader Wizard.
Press next.
A new screen will appear with a box called "connection" that should be blank.
At that point you connect your Blackberry, without the battery, to your PC via the USB-miniUSB cable.
After a few seconds, in the "connection" box you will see either "USB unknown" or another message indicating which USB your BB is connected to. If you have the option to change it to "USB unknown" do it otherwise leave it as such and
Then press next.
It will read all the software that you have on your Blackberry.
When that is done, reinsert the battery without disconnecting the devise.
When all the software appear in the Blackberry Application Loader Wizard,
Press next.
From then it will put the new OS on your phone.
You will see the progress on your phone's screen. It takes a while and if you are not sure it is finished, leave it connected till you are sure.
That is it.
