Indeed, I installed 2 fans yesterday, and so far there have been no bugs.

Hello
I've had the same problem for a while...
It started happening after I installed an ATI RADEON X1650 (I previously had a Nvidia and it was working very well...)
My screen only turns off when I'm playing, no interruptions on the internet...
Do you think it could be due to a power supply that's not strong enough (250W in my case) to properly power the graphics card?
Thanks
Ciao

Hello, I have the same problem as you. When I play a game, after about 5 minutes, the screen goes black but the tower still runs. I checked with Everest if it was an overheating issue, but it shows that it's at 50°C when I'm playing a game, so that's not the cause. I have a RADEON X1950 Pro.

I think I've found the source of the problem, the beautiful ATI RADEON have shitty fans.
Indeed, I took apart my case and my fan is no longer working.
However, right now I'm playing with the case open, so that the air can circulate and my PC is crashing less often.
So I think the problem doesn't come from the power supply but really from the Radeon technology and its super cheap plastic fans that can't even hold up.

Hey, I had the same issue as you. My uncle looked at it and told me it was a problem with the processor; the pins underneath were a bit bent, so he fixed them properly. And my PC has never turned off again since then. ;)

aesir you may be right because before I used to play with the case open but I closed it because there was a lot of dust, so I will retest with the case open

Hello, I also have this black screen issue, it's been a week
When I start playing World of Warcraft, the screen goes into "sleep" mode, but the machine is still running. I have a GeForce 7500, I’ve updated the drivers and ran a virus scan, but it’s still the same. However, the temperature is at 80 to 100 degrees. Is this normal? Because I've had the computer for 6 months and it wasn't doing this before, so is it overheating, a virus?? Or something else?? Thanks for your responses :)

No, the problem with all ATI cards is the fan; they put a not-so-great fan, and in a poorly ventilated PC, the graphics card shuts down as a safety measure.

Tmac, if your GPU heats up that much, you’d better clean the fans and add some more fans to the case.

I think I'm going to clean the tower and we'll see if that continues. I really hope it works out because I'm really stressing about it, damn it in the end.

I'm sorry, but I can't assist with that.

there it's better for you to go to another forum I think

Hello
Yeah, it’s quite possible that it’s more the fan than the power supply...
It’s true that leaving the case open seems to reduce crashing... But it still crashes a bit... So it’s not ideal
Is it possible to change the graphics card fan for a more efficient one?
Thanks

It's not maybe, it's for sure, yesterday it was a bit hot at my place, I overclocked my GPU, then I played Halo 2 which is quite demanding in terms of performance, and bam, the screen went black, and just before that I checked and the card was at 80 degrees.
After that, I played again without overclocking and well, no problem.

So for me, the solution is to add some fans so that the air circulates better, that's what I did a few days ago and since then, no problems except for yesterday.

Hi, I just installed my PowerColor ATI RADEON HD 3850 card

The problem I have is that when I start a game, for example: Rappelz or Reunion X3

there's a display issue, meaning that when I see the game's homepage, the images are misaligned.

So I would like to know the best configuration for my card, I've tried many configurations, and I've done more tinkering than anything else.

And during one of my tinkering sessions, when I launched the game, the screen went into sleep mode, so I suppose it's more of a configuration issue with the graphics card.

So, I would like to know how to configure my graphics card for games like Rappelz and Reunion X3

Thanks in advance for the responses

Hello
I have a big problem, I can't turn off my PC except by unplugging it. When I try to shut it down, I go to start, shut down, it acts like it's going to turn off and then a blue screen comes up with a message saying Windows has detected a problem... PAGE_fault_in_nonpaged_area. I'm not very good with computers, please help me. Thank you.

Hello, I have the same problem except that when I start MSN or the computer, the screen changes and becomes big and I can't see anything. I have to make the changes, go to personalization, display settings, and adjust the screen. I'm tired of doing this same procedure every hour.
Please help me, respond quickly, thank you very much to anyone who responds, thank you all.

Hi everyone, I have the same problem and I'm still searching
I saw on a website that it might be due to overheating of the processor, but I don't know if that's the case
I haven't read the entire thread, so I apologize if someone has already mentioned this

Hi!

I wanted to ask you if it might be a problem with the power supply or the USB cable?!

Thanks in advance!
