charging issue on fixed phone without Solved

Question

Hello, I'm reaching out because I have a problem that I can't solve. I own a wireless landline phone, Alcatel Versatis 820 Duo, and for over a week, I've been experiencing issues during calls where all I hear is crackling. So, I bought new NIMH 550 MAH AAA batteries, the same as the originals.  But yesterday I had them in the handsets all day, and I heard beeps from the phones. I thought it was normal, but my phone displayed lots of little icons, and after 24 hours, I have nothing. I can make it ring, but I can't hear anything. With the new batteries, as soon as I take the phone off its base, there’s nothing on the screen.  I put the old batteries back, and it rings fine, but all I hear is crackling; I can't hear or make a call.  So if you have any idea, I would really appreciate your help because it’s been a big mystery for me for the past 24 hours. Is my base broken? I'm waiting for your news to understand. Re...;) These batteries need to be charged often for about twelve hours to be okay.... Try using regular batteries BUT WITHOUT PLACING THE MOBILE ON ITS DOCK, you’ll "see" if the phone works or not... no danger for the phone, the base, or the batteries BUT THEY MUST NOT BE PLACED TO CHARGE, these are batteries, not accumulators! This will narrow down the issue a bit... Hello...  It seems that your batteries are not charging... I assume you put them in the right way... Maybe one of your bases is defective... try both mobiles on one base, then on the other... If your old batteries were dead, maybe they have oxidized the contacts a bit... check... Thank you very much for your quick response. Plus, I think we should be correct and polite when asking for help; it's the least we can do.  Well, I just removed the old batteries, I looked at my terminals, everything seems fine. I put back the one I charged all night and most of the afternoon. Now I can see the name of my phone displayed on the screen, which is a good sign compared to this morning. When I place it back on its base, I see the battery charging, but if I try to make or receive a call, I still hear that static noise in the phone and nothing goes through. I followed your advice and changed the base, but that doesn't solve anything. So now, is it a matter of properly charging the batteries? I really appreciate your help because I've been looking since yesterday, but I can't find anything. I'm stubborn, and this kind of problem drives me crazy. If the phone is dead, I'm fine with replacing it; it's not the worst thing. But if it still works, I would be bothered by that.  Thank you for your help, and I wish you a lovely day. Once again, it's me. So, I did a test, I took my cordless phone from Numericable and connected it to my France Telecom line, but nothing worked; all I got was static. And the one I thought was out of battery, I plugged it into my Numericable line, and it works perfectly. So it's not the batteries; the phone is not dead.  I called the 1013 from France Telecom, and they told me there’s no problem with my line. I tested my phone on other sockets in the apartment with France Telecom, but still nothing. So please, what should I do? Should I have a technician come, knowing that if it’s my fault, I will have to pay 54 euros, lol?  Again, I apologize for bothering you. Here I am to tell you that the problem is resolved; after 24 hours of research, I understood that there simply isn't a filter between my Numéricable modem and my France Télécom phone. I unplugged my modem, and now there are no more issues. I had been thinking about it for a while, but the phone's modem had been working for over a year, so I didn't really understand. Now I've moved my phone to my modem, and everything is working. I will therefore buy a filter. So, I initially saved money by not buying a cordless phone, and I also didn't need a France Télécom technician. So, thank you for your help. Have a good Sunday, everyone.
