Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, I don't have that option... I only have a button to put the computer to sleep (Fn+F1) but it doesn't work (not even under Windows, actually, you need to install the Dell-made program for it to work). But I don't want to put my PC to sleep, just turn off the screen...

I'm just looking for a command that turns off the screen and that can be turned back on by a simple mouse movement for example (exactly what the power management does when it turns off my screen after X minutes, but I want to be able to do it manually).

I understand what you want to do... but I don't have a Dell laptop!
It's strange that such a command doesn't exist... have you tried all the "function" keys?
Or Fn + arrow keys...?
On Acer laptops, for example, (Fn + arrow keys) is used for sound and brightness... you never know?
Otherwise, you can set the shutdown for a short time; if you're using it, it will stay on, otherwise it will turn off by itself after 2 or 3 minutes... removing the screensaver makes it manageable...

Often, you need to hold Fn+F4 or Fn+F5.. the function key is marked by a black screen with a star and an arrow pointing to a white screen... not always!

To keep it "simple", just go to Control Panel => Hardware and Sound => Power Options => Change plan settings => and where you see "turn off the screen", you choose how long you want.

For me, this works and I have a DELL.
