Hello,

I can't turn off the screen either once it's on the base.

I found in settings > handset > time slot > settings, a way to turn off the handset. But the 2 messages are very strange: "Off at" and "Off from". It's clearer in English and the handset turns off, but it lights up again on the base. How can I get the screen to turn off on the base too?

Hello,
I contacted GIGASET support,
there are two solutions to turn off the screen when it's on its dock:
1) Lock the screen
Press the # key on the keyboard, once placed back on its dock the screen will turn off after a few moments.

If there's a call, the screen will automatically unlock.
To make a call, you must first unlock the screen by pressing and holding the # key for a few seconds.

2) Reduce the contrast to level 1
The screen stays on but with less brightness
>> Menu >>Settings >>Handset >>Contrast

Regarding the Gigaset A700H screen that stays on, below is an additional piece of information to my response from yesterday 30/12/2020
Main Station
For the phone placed on the main station, you need to:
>> Lock the phone (long press on the # key),
>> Place the handset on the station,
>> Press any key on the handset.
The screen will turn off after a few moments.

2nd Station:
After locking the handset the first time
The handset on the secondary station will turn off without needing to be locked again.

Hello yes, the screen always stays on, and that's annoying in a bedroom. I found the solution: I place a "cap" on each element every evening ... using a glasses case. And it does the job very well. It doesn't interfere with any functions: ringing, alarm, etc.
