Nokia 5530: outgoing calls not possible.

Hello,

I've had my Nokia 5530 XM for 5 months and so far I haven't had any problems.
Last night, I was fiddling in the menu and received a text message at the same time, and the phone got stuck, so I had to remove the battery and restart it. But after that, the shortcut on the screen to change the mode (general, silent, ...) disappeared, and I cannot make a single call (it says "emergency calls only"). However, I can receive calls and send/receive text messages. Could someone please tell me how to fix this problem? I have pored over my user manual regarding call settings, but I can't find anything. A thousand thanks.

    For my case, I did:
MENU --> CONTACTS --> OPTIONS --> SIM CARD NUMBERS --> AUTHORIZED NUMBER LIST --> DISABLE.

In fact, the list of authorized numbers was activated, and since there were no contacts in this list, I couldn't call any of them.

Good luck, and I hope this resolves your issue.

I finally found and solved the problem by myself. Have a good evening.

I have the same problem (disappeared screen shortcut and connectivity issue). And the list doesn't exist for me. Any ideas?

Look in your settings. I'm not really sure where it is, but there should be an option with the word "cellular" in it. You need to disable it and then re-enable it.

I had the same problem and I just removed and reinserted the battery and everything worked normally.
