Burn photos AND video to a DVD

Hello everyone,

I have a little problem burning photos with a video.

==> Let me explain,
I made a photo montage that, in the end, became a "film", like a slideshow...
The video that my photo editing software created is in ".wmv". I took this video, and with the help of the "SUPER" software, I converted it to .VOB.

-> When my video is alone on the DVD, there is no problem.

But I want to put the video and then some photos... When I do this, I cannot play the video on the DVD player, only see the photos.

So, I would like to know how to put my photos and the video on the DVD. If possible, to have a nice little menu where we could choose between the photos or "the film"...

      with Nero, I could put my video and the photos that will be distinct in a menu when inserting the DVD?

    Do you have a DVD player that is DivX compatible?

    Because if you created a DVD-Video, I don’t think that can be done with Nero or any other authoring software.
    In fact, if things haven't changed, the best we can do is this: https://imageshack.com/
    The photos will only be readable on a computer, for example, this is how commercial DVDs work, where you sometimes find covers or internet links, it seems to me.

    For the photos, you can also create a video slideshow and in this way create another chapter for example. And then, you will have a choice in a menu.

    However, with a data disc (no menu possible), video files and image files can mix well, but during playback, it will either be images or videos unless you play around with your remote control.

    But I might be mistaken...

      But otherwise, would it be possible to put photos and videos in two different folders, and then use the remote to find the video... For me, the most important thing is to have two folders... One that only has the video and another that has all the photos ^^

      I prefer not to make a slideshow with the photos because I want them to be recoverable when the DVD is on a PC...

      If I understand correctly,
      I put the DVD in the player, I have the video. I put it on the PC I can retrieve the image folder... Interesting, give me a bit more info about this method ;)

    Nothing is doable without too many problems?

    What I really need is to be able to read the video ... that I can convert if needed, on a DVD player and that I can see the photos on a PC and that will be "copyable" to the PC ...
    If you have something simple with the steps ....

    Very simply, in a few steps:
    1) convert the WMV video file into a DVD-Video project using authoring software (NeroVision if you have it or a free one)
    2) you will get two folders AUDIO_TS which may be absent, that's okay because it’s empty, and VIDEO_TS containing IFO, BUP, and VOB files.
    3) open your burning software.
    a- If it has the DVD-Video option, you should see both AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders. Add your IFO, BUP, and VOB files to the VIDEO_TS folder.
    Then manually create an IMAGE folder in the software window or on your computer. This is where you put your photos.
    b- If it doesn’t have this option, then go through data discs, and add (or create) the folders and files corresponding to the DVD-Video structure. For the Image folder, see above.
    c- start the burning process.

    I am just repeating my previous message.
    Test on a DVD RW if you have one, so that in case you make mistakes, there won’t be any loss, but there’s no reason you shouldn’t succeed.

      Thank you very much for all these steps that I understand perfectly...
      But before I start, I have a question.

      --> Is it good to burn with Nero (Suite 10) or CD Burner XP?
      Because I have both. I've done the conversion, well, it's in progress... :) (Via NeroVision)

      So I wanted to know, which one should I use to burn?
      Because I only have one DVD-R left =(

      Nero 10 because they also have a technology to ensure the burning (even if the disc is scratched, etc. it will work).
