Hello,
I want to warn you that someone is scamming on the site vivastreet, selling cars at very low prices.
Here is a copy of the email I received:
"Hello
I just saw your message and I want to thank you for your interest in my ad regarding my Peugeot on Vivastreet.fr for the price of €1500.
My car is in good working condition with no expenses expected, I wanted to sell it for two different reasons: one concerning the lack of financial means caused by my wife's illness (3 hours of dialysis per day). And the other concerning the need to support the education of my three children living abroad.
In fact, I myself am deaf and mute, but the car is visible with me.
NB/ In this regard, I would ask that you send me your complete home address so that we can arrange a possibility to meet according to your availability in front of the Gendarmerie, or if you want I can even bring it to your home tomorrow once you send me your contact details and your complete home address.
If you are really interested, please send me your details in the following manner:
Name: ..................
First name: ...............
Postal code: ...........
City: ....................
Street or address:........
Phone:......................
Thank you for your understanding, and of course, having a driving license is enough to drive my Peugeot"
Of course, he is deaf and mute, that way, it is not possible to reach him by phone, and he is on the brink of crisis :)
Anyway, if someone comes across this ad, don’t be fooled.
I'm just getting started, but I'm sure he will ask me to pay in cash or by money order.
Warning!

Hello
so far! I don't see the scam. He is ready to bring you the car...
however, on the day of delivery, be sure to check the documents to see if they are not fake and especially do not send any money.
best regards -
Well, after that, he asked me to send him the money via Manda Cash Urgent, and he refuses to give me his phone number, because I think even a deaf-mute can write texts, right?
Once the money is sent, he checks online and comes to bring me the car, you don't think there's a problem, do you? -
No, I'm Magalie Descourty, but I think they must have plenty of stolen IDs or things like that; they probably don’t just have one name.
-
-
I've got something better! A woman named Magalie is ready to sell me a 2005 Clio 2 1.5 L DCI 80 CONFORTABLE DYNAMIQUE, 4CV with 83,000 km for only €1,200!! She obviously wanted my contact details because she's willing to come directly to my place, even though I don't know where she lives! I gave her a meeting point that is definitely not my home, I didn't give any contact details, however, she gave me her number, but she's deaf too, so it's only by text... she's also talking about delivery and asking if I'm coming with €1,200 in cash; I said no way I'm paying in cash, it will be by bank cheque, nothing else, and I’m not promising anything, I’ll check the papers, try the car and all that, but it smells like a scam...

What makes me think it's a scam is this:
"Name: ..................
First name: ...............
Postal code: ...........
City: ....................
Street or address:........
Phone:...................... "
In all scams, there are always requests for information in this format
In my opinion, the next email will state that he can't travel because he has to stay with his sick wife and will ask you for transportation fees. -
Hello, I was also scammed with a cash transfer. The case is ongoing, but there is little hope. However, I notice that the name used is the same, but I couldn't find the person who left this message. I would like to have details because perhaps this could help me in this matter. So this person exists.
Thank you in advance. -
Can you give me the number that this Magalie Descourty left? Because I also got scammed and it’s her name that came to collect the money at the post office??
-
That's why I created this thread, I detected the scam and I thought it could prevent some people from getting scammed.
-
Mouarf! A deaf-mute who would own a vehicle...
And when he drives, how does he anticipate the sounds of traffic? How could he hear the warnings? Or even the stuttering of his engine? -
This concerns a certain Anna Lahoue. Her address includes her first and last name anyway. I'm continuing the discussion with her by email, but yesterday she stopped replying to me. I'm not fooled; I'm not buying a car without seeing it. She claims she’ll let me see the car, but basically, I'm obliged to buy it when she comes, lol! I just don't understand the "I'm deaf and mute" system, you know... I think she'll reply during the day; I’ll keep you updated. In any case, I'm going to see a car this evening, and if I like it, I'll directly tell her not to come.
Also, I was thinking of calling the prefecture of her city to see if it was a stolen car or not, as the license plate is visible in the photos. What do you think?-
The scammer stole the car photos and reposted an ad... He has no more car for sale than I do...
The fact that he says he's a deaf and mute woman is just to soften up his future victim... and especially so that you won’t ask to talk to him on the phone...
It’s ridiculous, I know, but these scammers invent ridiculous stories that many people swallow, and get caught.
I don't think he will continue with you, as he must sense that you're not biting...
The next step in the scenario would have been for him to ask you to make a cash mandate for example for half the amount, so that he would be "sure" of your good faith, without giving him the operation code, but asking you to go to the post office website to check if the cash mandate has been properly recorded.
The site in question is of course a fake site, and that's how these scammers get the mandate numbers that people foolishly make, without having any guarantee or even having seen the car...
In short, a super nice deal, and people don't even suspect anything and send money like that, thinking it’s secure...
Here is the process of these scams whose main players are in Benin, but who have accomplices in France.
One good news, however: some have been arrested recently, and that’s nice to hear:

I'm sure that if she asks me for money, I'll send her packing right away.. she probably won't respond to me then, so maybe that's not a bad thing! Thanks for this information anyway.
-
I think it's the same person; since I'm no longer paying attention to her, she's looking for someone else.
Because she also told me that we would meet in front of the police station in my town and that she would come with someone. -
I don't know, was it also an Anna Lahoue? As for me, it was a Clio 2 so I don't know. 1500€ for a diesel with 100,000 km...
-
Well, I don’t know how it works, I didn't go all the way so I didn't send any money because it felt fishy, but what you can do is check online which Post Office the money was withdrawn from, then go to the police station with the Mandat Cash number + the phone number of that Post Office.
Try to go during the day so that the Post Office is open.
As soon as possible, because there are surveillance cameras, but they erase them every week, so hurry up.
Keep me posted on what happens next.
Best regards. -
I don't know if the number will be of any use to you.
She probably has a disposable SIM card, so it's impossible to know to whom it belongs.
And the name doesn't necessarily match the person; at the Post Office, we know very well how they verify identities! -
NO! I have the same problem as you, with Magalie Descourty, for a blue 206, luckily I didn't pay her anything...
I find this story crazy!... -
-
Wow!! Luckily I came across this forum: apparently, I'm also in contact with a scammer: here is his email:
according to his email, he calls himself: jules lipont (juleslipont@live.fr)
hello
I have received your email. I apologize for the delay in my response. The
car is still available for sale, in perfect working condition with no mechanical issues; the engine is fine, the bodywork is impeccable, there are no scratches or dents, and it has never been in an accident. I remind you that if I sell it for this cursed price of €2000, it's due to the financial problems I'm facing at the moment. Due to a small family issue, I am currently in department 34 Montpellier, at 316 RUE SAINT LOUIS 34000 MONTPELLIER and my phone number is: 0676778215.
If you are not available, I will handle the delivery. The
car will be delivered to you with all the documents, invoices from the last maintenance available, as well as the non-pledge certificate, the sales certificate, sales proxy, technical control ok, you have no fees to expect.............. ;
The transaction will take place in a short time and according to a very reliable payment method. So you will have confirmation of the authenticity of the documents after verification at the prefecture and at the gendarmerie before completing the transaction and without extra fees because my neighbor has a trailer and a van, so I can use them to bring you the motorcycle, so I can easily move to your address, so please give me your COMPLETE ADDRESS (namely)

1- so I tried to call him all morning, he doesn’t answer and his voicemail is full.
2- Around noon, he sends me a text and suggests we talk on msn, I tell him it's better to talk on the phone and then....BAM!!! : "I am deaf-mute...." wow impressive, I almost believed it.
3- Similarly, I searched for information about him (123people or http://www.ctqui.com) but zero info on the guy.
4- My friend and I also said (@droopy4949) Mouarf! A deaf-mute who owns a vehicle........ And when he drives, how does he anticipate the sounds of traffic? How could he hear the warnings? or the engine misfiring?
5- I don’t know but I want to play his game and see how far he could go... I need to find a way to lure him... LOL... risky perhaps. -
A deaf person who writes that well without making mistakes is not deaf, know that! Yes, deaf people drive. (I work in the field)

I am communicating with a person of the same type. She is a deaf and mute woman. She even offered to bring the car for me to see it, but she is talking about "delivery" while I only want to see the car. She assures me that she will be there and that her nephew will be there too (to communicate). Last night I told her that I didn't know if I would take the car, that I only wanted to see it on Tuesday evening and that I was not committing to anything. It didn't seem to please her... she didn't respond. I am supposed to see the car tomorrow evening; by the way, she also suggested seeing the car in front of the police station in my city.
Furthermore, she hasn't asked me for any money yet, but I also expect her to ask me for a deposit or something like that... I don't really know what to do since for now there hasn't been any mention of money. Should I let her come? (I will be with my father and not alone)
Also, she asked for my contact details in the same way you did. I didn't really understand since I am giving her an appointment in front of the police station in my city. So, I dodged it and only gave her my mobile number.-
Hello sawkill,
Someone selling their car isn't going to come show it to you, but will ask you to come instead.
The request for money won't be long in coming... if you continue the conversation with this "woman," who is 99.99% likely to be a scammer...
Keep us updated and above all, give us her email...
