Hanger antenna, dangerous?

Hello,
I don’t really know if I’m in the right place to ask my question
but here it goes..
Here’s my problem or rather my inquiry:
I’m 14 years old, and my parents just bought a new TV for their bedroom, so there’s a TV at home that isn’t being used. I want to put it in my room, and my parents are okay with that. But I don’t have an antenna socket in my room. I saw online that making an antenna with a metal hanger works, but is it dangerous? I tested it on the TV and it works, but I would like to know if it could cause a fire or any other dangerous situation.
So, is it dangerous?
Thank you for getting back to me as soon as possible.
I really appreciate it in advance.
I’m counting on you.

Hey, it's chaos^^
LOL about the electric shock and the fire^^
No, very seriously (I have a BEP installer advisor, I fix TVs^^), there is absolutely no risk for you, strictly none.
There is no electricity passing through the antenna (you can stick your fingers in without fear :) ). There is no risk of electrical overload, so no risk of fire. An antenna is solely used to amplify a signal.
The dangers with old TVs are:
- the cathode ray tube (not catholic^^), risk of explosion if it breaks, so avoid playing soccer in front of the TV^^ (the glass is thick, don’t worry).
- The high voltage transformer (it’s located inside the TV, so if you don't open the TV, there’s no risk) which, if you touch it, will do 10 times more damage than US police tasers :(
- Dust!!! fire risk (extremely rare).... So one piece of advice, clean your room well and dust often (your parents will love me XD)
