Hello,
I just reinstalled Office 2003 and I can't read an attached file in an email
that appears like this:
icon word - title of the attachment.pdf
When prompted: choose the encoding to use, I have 3 options:
default windows, ms dos; other encoding
NONE OF THEM WORK!!!!! sniff
It gives me 4 lines that are practically unreadable to me and I can't copy and paste to put here
Thank you if someone understands my message and can help me.

Good evening,
There is a mistake in the choice of the program to use for opening. You do Open With... and choose Adobe Reader. If you don't have it, it can be downloaded for free (and legally)

Thank you for taking the time to respond. Unfortunately, when I right-click on the attachment, I only have the "open" command and not "open with." Therefore, I cannot force the display with Adobe that I had downloaded. I must have made a configuration error in my preferences, but I can't find where.
Hello,
Look closely, on Windows 7 you should also have 'open with...'
Otherwise, 'default programs' in the control panel.

I would like to thank both of you for taking the time to respond to me
I could not find how to change in the control panel/default programs/open with
BUT I resolved my issue this way, so if this can help others:
I couldn't choose "open with" by right-clicking, so I chose "save as" to my documents and there, no problem opening my pdf document with Adobe.
There you go, I don't know if it's my settings or Windows 7, but at least it works like that.
Thank you and RESOLVED.
