Hello,
My landline phone is no longer working. I wanted to make a call, I picked up the handset, there was a flash and then nothing...
Eventually, when I put it back on the base, the message "INITIAL" appeared, probably for "initialize".. But how? I changed the batteries, the answering machine works, every 5 minutes there’s a little beep, nothing more.
I consulted the brochure which says nothing about this issue. It is a Philips CD 155.
Thank you

Hi, normally, you just need to place it on the original base (there are often two bases)
It is automatically recognized
Otherwise, this could be a phone issue; is it still under warranty?-

I had this issue; I unplugged the device from its electrical base and from the box, and then by miracle it noted "initial" again, and it did it by itself, whereas before it would display "initial" with a shrill ringtone. It's not a very rational method, but it worked. I think you shouldn't leave the wireless device out of its base.
