Hello,
I can't reset my Philips CD 560 cordless phone. I go to the advanced settings menu to reset, but nothing happens. Can you please help me?

  Hello
  When activating detect freebox I can no longer save directory entries, customize date and time... impossible to reset etc.

    Detect Freebox.
    You have connected your phone directly to the Freebox wirelessly. ?
    Resetting the handset restores the default settings as described on page 40 of the manual paragraph: 15 Default Settings
    
    What icons are displayed on the handset screen?
    See the manual on page 11 for a precise description of them

Hello baladur 13
All default settings are present; but when I set the date it doesn't save or apply, I remain at 1/01!!!
When I make a new entry in the directory it doesn't save either. In the advanced settings, I click on reset but nothing happens either; Mystery!!!

  The question was... are you connected directly, wirelessly, to the Freebox?
  And what does the screen display (icons and others)?
  
  If so... have you disconnected the handset from its original base, so that there is no conflict between the two bases: the new one (the Freebox) and the old one (Philips) which is only serving as a charger now... (See page 33 of the manual)
  
  Note: When connected to a box, directly in DECT, (wirelessly) the functionalities of the phone, as described in its manual, may undergo significant changes.

Excuse me, I didn't understand the question.
I am connected to the box via ethernet cable.

  The connection cable has RJ11 connectors that look like those of an Ethernet cable but it is not an Ethernet cable.
  
  But then why do you say in message 2: "When activating detect freebox"? Where did you find this procedure?
  What type of Freebox?
  
  Once again, what does the screen of the handset display (icons and others)?
  
  Also check that the keypad is not simply locked.
  A long press on the * (star) key (at the bottom left of the zero) locks or unlocks the keypad.

Thank you for your responses, Baladur. In fact, it’s the port intended for the phone that I have plugged in. Everything displays normally. For the activation detection, I used the Freebox Revolution method, meaning I unplugged the phone cable, as indicated; all the icons were displayed normally with the phone tone. The phone was working, but I had lost all functionalities, address book, etc. However, it was impossible to save anything. So, I plugged the phone back into the appropriate port and tried to make it work like before, but now it’s impossible to regain the functionalities, which is why I want to reset it.
But to no avail. I’m giving up!!!

  The handset is now associated with two bases...
  The Philips base and the Freebox Revolution, and as a result it is unsure which one to connect to.
  Unplug the cable going to the Free Revolution, turn off the power to the Philips base, and perform the procedure to dissociate the phone from the box

  Once the dissociation is done, turn the Philips base back on.
  Once the handset no longer has to manage two bases at the same time, everything should work better.
  
  You can also check by simply turning off the power to the Philips base to see if the handset behaves normally.
  If it does, and if you prefer the wireless solution (handset associated with the box), then you need to perform the unsubscription procedure for the Philips base (Manual page 33).
