Question

Hello, I have a problem with the Chat Roulette website. I don't know if you're familiar with it, but I find it funny. So here it is: I can't launch the webcams, meaning that the PLAY button that should appear at the top left is not showing up. I would like to know how to make this site work. Thank you in advance.

I think there are probably quite a few people connected at the same time as you. Whether we are connected via Wi-Fi on an unsecured network or using our own router, there is no difference since Wi-Fi is just a transmission and reception of packets... it must be the website.

I'm in the same situation. I have a suspicion... what kind of network are you connected to? I'm on a new Wi-Fi network that doesn't belong to me and is unsecured. It's possible that public networks don't allow access to this site, similar to torrent downloading or eMule. I don't know. I'm all ears for any potential solutions.

Hi, I sometimes have the same problem as you, so I refresh the page (F5) and usually it should work again, or you can keep pressing F5 until it works. :)

No, nothing to do with that, I have my own Livebox, and I have almost the same problem, it's slow, and on every page, I don't have time to reply because it disconnects or changes page. I've known the site since today, if someone could tell me how to block a window so I can dial, that would be nice.

Good evening,  If you’re talking about the Chatroulette welcome screen, and if you want to start chatting; just click on the window where the explanatory text is written and press F9 which will act as Play.  Good night everyone :)

Well, I have a problem when I log into Chatroulette, an annoying problem!! My cam is upside down, and others see me upside down!! Yet when I'm on MSN or elsewhere, the cam is always the right way up!! I have a built-in cam on my laptop, so I don't understand why I end up upside down. it all depends on which server(s) the site is hosted on, the crash can come from there too, knowing that there are more than 40,000 users connected at the same time, the server saturation can occur quickly.

abandon your site smells like a scam.... I think it's someone trying to take advantage of Chatroulette's notoriety to carve out a little place for themselves on the internet...  Otherwise, regarding the fact that the site is slow, I think it's due to the increasing number of users, more and more people are going there, so it's bound to saturate the hosting servers. I think that's why they just implemented the rule that if you don't have a webcam, you can't connect to the site... it seems logical to me, the site is meant for that in the first place...
