Hello,
I have a problem with my Sennheiser e825s as there is a huge noise when I record!

I made an audio demo for you: http://kill2u.free.fr/ccm/pb_micro.wav or http://kill2u.free.fr/ccm/

Thank you for explaining to me why!

Should I first go through a mixing table before reaching the PC or via an amplifier? Thanks
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3.5.5

Always go through a mixing console! Then the mixing console to the PC!
P.S.: while listening, you still have a grounding problem! Either it comes from the microphone or the PC! Try pulling out the mic jack a little to see if it still happens! Because for me, it's a bad ground! So you definitely won't need a mixing console. I should have listened to the links before writing!
If you have another microphone, a basic one, just try it!

The Sennheiser is already an awesome microphone!! ^^

Yes, I just tested moving the jack and it's the same! I already have a small mixer, I'll test and see if it still happens!

Because 4 - 5 years ago, I was doing pirate radio (not good!! lol) and I was already using this microphone connected to a mixer and I never had this issue!

I will still test it with my Sony F-V620!

P.S.: what should I do if it's a grounding issue?

Change the mic jack or it might be the cable that connects to the mic! For me, it’s better to change the mic!

So: I have 3 different cables and I tried them all! It's always the same! Now I removed the mic from the mic input and plugged it into the line input! The problem now is that the sound is weak and if I increase it digitally, it gets noisy!

The problem is almost solved but where does the issue with the mic input come from?

In your sound card settings, you must have "add an amp" written, check that box!
The line input is less sensitive than the microphone input, that's why it sounds quieter!
OR try connecting your microphone to your mixing table and outputting from the table to the line input of the PC!

I don't want to come across as an idiot, but I can't find it... ^^

No way, idiot! Did you try connecting the mic + mixing table to the PC line input?

Ah okay, but with the mixer it should be fine, there's a preamp inside!
