Hello,
I know that Wing Commander 3 is an old game, but how powerful it is.
Ever since I started playing it, I've always been stuck right before the end of the game. In the last mission, when I get to the fight against Hobbes, I kill him, but then I kill some Pakthas and Darket, and then Sorthaks keep coming in continuously. The only solution I found on the web is to turn on invisibility and invincibility (in the options) and then go into the enemies. By doing this, it works and Prince Trakkath shows up, but I would have preferred to find a solution without cheating.
If anyone has managed to do it, thank you for letting me know.
Nicolas

WARNING SPOILER!
After quite a few struggles on my side too, here is the answer:
When Excalibur is loaded with the Bomb T, leave the Asteroid base (Depot) and head to the first waypoint.
Destroy all the fighters, then go to the second waypoint.
Destroy all the fighters again, then head to the third waypoint.
Destroy all the fighters, and when the "Auto" icon is lit, activate invisibility (CTRL and C) just before heading to the last waypoint.
Get behind Thrakkath, close enough, and press CTRL and C again to disable invisibility.
Destroy Thrakkath, then Hobbes if he's still alive, that filthy traitor :p No need to destroy any other enemies besides these two!
Then you find yourself directly on Kilrah, and hello struggle! No rest, fly straight towards the white cross for 200,000 miles... you will find the last target to drop the Bomb T on (be careful, you need to be close enough to launch it...) Drop it and get out... it's over.
