Skull appearing on screen

Hello everyone,
So I've just made a discovery on my PC and I want to make sure it's not a virus. I've never seen this before on my PC. When I move something onto the taskbar, there's actually a skull that appears underneath the taskbar. Maybe it's just because it's a manipulation I can't perform, but I've never seen it before, so I'd rather check with you.
Thank you,
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3.5.6

Hello paolo2332

We will check this, download RSIT (from random/random) to the desktop here:
http://images.malwareremoval.com/random/RSIT.exe

- Double click on RSIT.exe which is on the desktop
- Click on Continue in the window
- RSIT will download HijackThis if it is not present or detected, then you will need to accept the license
- Post the contents of the two reports, log.txt and info.txt(minimized in the taskbar) at the end of the scan

The reports are in the folder here C:\rsit

It looks a lot like a joke, what's your antivirus?

PS will never put a skull and crossbones in its OS, that wouldn't be great.

Thank you for your answers.
My antivirus is the free version of Antivir.
For the reports, do I only have the log report, is that normal?
Here it is:

Hello paolo2332

Download and install MalwareByte's Anti-Malware
http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam/program/mbam-setup.exe

- Update it

---

- Restart in safe mode:

When your PC restarts, tap the F8 or F5 key, on the following screen navigate with the arrow keys and choose Safe Mode. Choose your regular session and not the Administrator session

---

- Double click on the MalwareByte's Anti-Malware shortcut on the desktop.
- Select Run a Full Scan if not already done
- click on Search

- Once the scan is finished, a window will open, click OK

- If MalwareByte's found nothing, click OK a report will appear, close it.

- If MalwareByte's detected infections, click on Show Results then on Remove Selected

- Save the report on your Desktop so it's easier to find, then post this report.

Note: If MalwareByte's needs to restart to complete the removal, accept by clicking OK

Tutorial for MalwareByte's here:

Yes, but in C:\rsit, I only have the recent log report, and then I have an old info report but it's from 2009, so it's not the right one. That's why I actually mentioned that I only had the log report.
I will configure the antivirus and keep you updated.
Thank you.

I'm launching Malwarebytes and I'll post the report afterwards.
I downloaded RSIT again and this time I got both reports.
Here is the info report:

I set up Antivir as you advised, but I still see the skull icon. But I've only configured it; do I need to run a scan afterwards or not?
Thank you

Hi paolo2332

Do the scan with MBAM as requested earlier.

Hi paolo2332

Is it possible to get a screenshot of the skull?

Yes, we will all tremble at the sight of our enemy in front of us.

Lol. So I took a screenshot, but it doesn't show up, I don't know why.
Here's roughly a similar image, (I wanted to show you the image directly but I couldn't manage to insert it into the discussion so I put the link):

http://popo10.p.o.pic.centerblog.net/uy31n6g6.jpg

Basically, it looks like this. It displays in small when I try to perform an action that is not possible, like trying to put a document in the taskbar.

I don't know if it's related, but I installed XPize a while ago, a little software that freshens up XP, changes the interface a bit. Could it be linked?

Hi paolo2332

It definitely looks like a skull :D

Indeed, it might be XPise causing this. Uninstall it and you'll know if it's responsible.
