How to connect 2 towers

Hello,
I have acquired a second tower and I would like to connect the two together, and if possible, even connect both towers to the same screen! How can I do this? What equipment do I need to buy? Thank you for answering both of my questions if possible.
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3.0.17

To connect 2 PCs, you need an Ethernet cable.

To connect 2 PCs to the same monitor, keyboard, and mouse, you need a KVM.

Well, back then, it prevented having two massive CRT screens with two sets of keyboard and mouse on the table.

One single screen, one keyboard, and one mouse can control as many computers as you own or that the KVM switch can handle.

Now, with the monstrous power of PCs, I don't really see the point of having multiple ones per square meter, and if it's a habit, flat screens are nice to multiply.

To transfer documents, what is a KVM?
And since I have documents on both, I want to be able to view them without installing a second screen
    thank you

    Hi,

Indeed, we need to know more. Do you want to set up a network between these two towers to transfer files or play locally?
Is it possible to connect 2 PCs to the same screen? Is that possible? Oo

As for the fact that I have a lot to learn! But I don't see the usefulness!

      Thank you for your response.
I want to transfer files to the 2nd computer in order to format the 1st one. Additionally, I have documents on the 2nd one that I would like to view, and connecting a 2nd screen doesn't mean anything to me. Thank you, what is a KVM?
