TI-83 Plus, result in square root form

Hello,
I have the TI-83 Plus calculator, but I can't figure out how to display the result as a square root. I know how to do it when I'm writing an expression, but not for the result. They don't mention it in the manual, and I would be surprised if it couldn't be done given the price... Big test on Tuesday, need help please!! Thank you.

    I have the same problem with my TI-83 Plus. I can display it as a fraction or other formats, but never as a square root; the result is given to me in decimal form. If there is a function or an application that allows me to express it as a square root, I'd be happy to take it, but I can't find it. If someone could help me and Miss, that would be super cool! !! ;:D

      Well, for me, it's quite the opposite; I have the number under a square root and it gives it back to me under a square root, while I want it in decimal. I don't know how to change it.

    I really don't see, sorry. Take a Casio, it's much better and it will do it for you :D
