Disable the autoreverse mode of a car radio

Hello,
My little story: In my car, I listen to my MP3 by connecting it to the car radio via an adapter cassette with a cord that ends in a jack plug. For the past few days, I must have messed something up because the tape keeps auto-reversing every 2 seconds, systematically interrupting the sound coming from the car speakers! It's very annoying...
Does anyone know how to disable the auto-reverse mode on a car radio?? Or any other solution... All I know about the car radio is that it is the original model for a Renault Twingo.
Thank you for your help!
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3.0.14

It's an old thing with an archaic menu; and I accidentally messed it up. I think there's an autoreverse mode somewhere or is it the silences detected by the car radio?? When I rewind or fast forward on the tapes, sometimes the car radio picks up the gaps and starts playing at the beginning of a track. It's that setting, more than the autoreverse, that I need to find back... But there's no menu! Thanks anyway!
