Invalid HDMI Format

Hello,

First of all, I have to tell you that I am not good with electronics, but that's not the issue...
I bought an HDMI cable (by Belkin) to connect my Samsung Blu-Ray player to my LG HD television, but when I turn on my player to play it once the HDMI cable is plugged in, "Invalid Format" suddenly appears on the screen.
Is this the wrong cable? Is my TV okay? What should I do?

maybe you should first adjust the resolution of your television

Hello, I think the output signal from the Blu-ray player is not compatible with your TV

check the settings menus of the player and the TV
