Python est un langage pseudo compilé, ce qui signifie que tu lances un py, (qui sera manipulé par python) et il génère implicement les pyc qui vont avec. Du coup le py a à la fois un rôle d'exécutable et de fichier source.
Si l'idée est d'avoir juste un exécutable, regarde du côté de py2exe ou de pyinstaller.
