Keyboard shortcut for strikethrough text

I may have found the solution:
In TextEdit, it is not possible to strikethrough text. In Word, there is
no shortcut, but you can create one like a pro in "Tools ==>
Customize Keyboard"
In the "Customize Keyboard" dialog box, you select
"Format" in the "Categories" column and then in the "Commands" column you
select "Strikethrough". There, you just need to enter your shortcut***!
