Hello,
Some functions of Access 2007 (Using the Input Mask Wizard, General Menu Manager, Database Documentation...) generate the following message: "You cannot open the database] because the VBA project found in it cannot be read..." It asks me to delete the VBA project. How can I do it? Even on a blank database, this message appears.
The options settings are correct (I compared them to another Access installation). I reinstalled everything, performed a full system check, and it says everything is fine.
Could someone give me ideas to resolve this problem?

Hello,
Thank you for the information.
I think the application is not complete and/or damaged.
You should reinstall, that is: uninstall the existing application, close and then restart the phone and install again (note: you have the original CD …) -
Hello,
Could you describe exactly, point by point, the operations up to the appearance of the message and mention it! -
Examples on a blank database or an existing one:
1st example: I create fields in a table in Create mode. In the field properties I want to use the input mask wizard, so I click the three dots. A window immediately appears asking me to delete the VBA project.
2nd example: In the Tools tab Database, add-ins button, Add-ins Manager, it shows the same message
3rd example: when I click on the Add-ins Manager from the main menu.
The message appears and, when I click OK, another message appears: Update impossible, the database or the object is read-only. When I click OK again, another message appears The Visual Basic for Applications project of the database is damaged. When I click OK again, another message appears The requested wizard is not installed or is in a bad state.
In fact, it cannot open the wizard, the generator, or the add-in. Yet I did a full installation. -
Hello,
Thank you for the information.
Question: does an existing database function correctly (obviously not at the level of modifications, creations, etc.)? -

I’m discovering this problem because I hadn’t used the input mask assistant before. All databases work the same way on this laptop; everything works perfectly except in the cases mentioned in the previous message. I have a desktop PC with Access 2007 that works perfectly, including with the databases created on the laptop. At the same time, the databases created with the desktop PC show the same errors on the laptop. If there’s no solution, I will only use the desktop PC.
Thanks again -
Indeed, I don’t know how, but everything works perfectly.
Thanks again
