Hello,
Hello,
I get an error message when I turn on my CANON PIXMA MP760 printer.
"Incorrect print head type. Insert the correct print head."
Should I buy a new print head, or should I buy another multifunction printer?

Thank you in advance for the upcoming advice
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3.0.15

Hi

open the cover of your printer, remove the ink cartridges, lift the locking lever of the print head, take out the print head and put it back in place. replace your ink cartridges. Turn off your printer and turn it back on.

I have exactly the same problem with an MP500. I've done the process several times, but with no results. I've also tried to clean the head.

Hello, I have the same problem. I removed the cartridges but after that, I don't know how to remove the print head. If someone knows how to do it. Thank you in advance.

I have the same problem for 10 days, namely "incorrect print head, insert appropriate print head" with a Canon Pixma 760. I have taken everything out, put everything back, unplugged, plugged back in, but the message is still there.

Hello Bibimarie,
try to start the control panel, click on printers and faxes, right-click on your printer and there you will find maintenance and you can perform the maintenance
have a good day
