How to turn off a laptop when you are Solved

Question

Hello my laptop is "frozen" and I can't turn it off. What should I do? Thank you for helping me out.

I have a similar problem, my phone accepts shutting down until the Windows shutting down message... then it restarts!!
I have to turn it off manually. If you could help me, that would be really great, I don't know what else to try. I have already checked for viruses and spyware... the power management seems fine and all programs are closed before shutting down the computer... so it's a mystery!!

Me, when that happens, I hold the power button down until it turns off, then I turn it back on. It does a file check and then it's good to go.

I have the same issue on my laptop, it gets stuck on shutting down Windows. Could you help me?  Thank you in advance.

Try to stop it like this  start->run->type "cmd"-> press ok-> and now you type-> shutdown -s -t 05     I can't guarantee anything, but normally it should force the shutdown.
