Hello,
Actually, I have a small problem with the construction. When I build the port, it gives a construction area where I can build my factories to produce, but when I build a market, it does provide a construction area but only for houses and churches, not for factories, which really hinders me since I need to build a mining extraction facility, etc.
In short
I am limited to the construction area associated with the port.
Is there a solution or could someone shed some light on my issue? Thank you very much.

Sorry, I'm going to be harsh but... that's the game, my dear Lucette.
In fact, the "market places" only serve the inhabitants and the "small market buildings" only serve the manufacturers. It's up to you to organize accordingly.
But you should know that all your small market buildings (on the same island) are interconnected. You can build a building at the other end of the island, all the fields and all the manufacturers linked to it will bring the resources to your warehouse (no need to connect your market building to your warehouse).
So set aside a part of your island just for your inhabitants and the rest for your fields, mines, factories.... But you'll see that very quickly, you'll run out of space on your island, and that's also part of the game lol.
