Hello,
Hello, I have VLC media player 0.9.9, I have a speaker connected to the PC but also my headphones... and I find the sound flat... lacking bass, I can't adjust the hertz, is there a way to get more bass with VLC?
while keeping a good, correct sound?
Thank you for your responses. Best wishes.
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

    Hello,

    I believe it was already available for the version you have, but in any case for VLC 1.0.1 there is an equalizer option: http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=692547vlc.jpg

    Also note that you can add a surround effect in the "preferences," which might add a little something extra:

    Let's not forget the Windows sound settings either ;-)

    You need to check the "Activate" box (see 1 in my screenshot)
    . Then either you move each slider as you wish using the mouse by pointing at it.
    . or there are already presets that you can choose from (see 2 in my screenshot)

    ps: for the update of your version:
    --> click on "Help"
    --> then "check for updates"
