Hello,
I have an HP Deskjet F4180 and I've been having a problem for the last 2 days.
I keep getting an error message (and the blinking LEDs) saying that my cartridges are not installed correctly (even though I haven't touched them):

I have, of course, removed and reinserted the cartridges, and I've even tried new ones. Nothing changes. I don’t know what else to do? :/

Hello,
I've been browsing the forums for 2 days because I have the same problem, and I see that it's a recurring issue with this model... probably a design flaw... HP is too untouchable, and considering the price of a replacement printer, no one will dare to hold them accountable, not even me.
So to the readers of this email, the best solution is to boycott this brand... -
I also have the same problem, I can't find a solution online!! :( So I'm basically giving up on this printer. Personally, I'll make sure to avoid HP for my next purchase.

The problem with planned obsolescence is that it's everywhere!
So even if you boycott a brand, nothing protects you from similar issues with another one!
The best solution still remains to repair things yourself. -
I had given up on this topic since there were no replies... And now I see that you have the same problem as me, which reassures me in a way, but it doesn't solve the issue.
Has anyone else experienced this problem and managed to resolve it?-

In reality, I think it’s a matter of planned obsolescence with the printer.
Indeed, some printers have an obsolescence of 25,000 prints, for example, those made by EPSON.
An internal component in the printer keeps track and blocks the printer in such a way that it forces us to buy another one. Repair technicians say it’s not worth repairing them because it would cost more than getting a new one.
However, there are little computer geniuses who develop micro-software that allows you to reset the counter to zero! Good news for us users because always consuming and being forced to do so, the planet is getting angrier with us!
The solution is therefore to find someone who has already had the problem and who has used or created the reset micro-software. Once we find it, the easiest thing is to share it on most forums!
Good luck on this quest! I have exactly the same problem with my printer.
