Hello,
Something incredible happened to me today!!
I live alone and no one has the keys to my place except for me.
I got home around 11:45 PM, listened to the messages I received on my landline, and among them was a curious message! While listening to it, I realized that it was a message left by a call made from my own landline!! At least from my landline number.
Surprised!! Thinking that someone must have entered my home and used my phone to leave me a message on my phone!! I checked my call log up to today's date on the France Télécom website, but I didn't find any outgoing calls from my phone around the time I received the message!!
Is there anyone among you who can enlighten me??
Is it possible to use someone else's phone number remotely, without the calls showing up on the call list?

I have a little idea.
Regarding a landline.
In the case of the phone with a Neuf box (for example, it’s probably the same with others), there is a service called NeufTalk that allows you to make calls from a computer using your landline number.
It’s a bit like having a second line on your computer but with the same number. And you can call your landline with it.
If you have an internet+phone package, check with the people who have access; it might be one of them.

Good evening, And there you go, I've also just received a call from "myself" right now. I even have a message on my voicemail, but you can only hear a strange noise. But it can't be me since I didn't answer. My phone is a Sony Ericsson and my carrier is SFR, so it has nothing to do with that since we are all different. This topic started in September and 3 months later it's still going on; I hope it's not because of giving my number to an organization or signing up for something that caused our number to be leaked. As for me, I have a Sony Ericsson phone and I'm with Bouygues Telecom. I just got a car insurance quote online with MAAF and my own number called me 1 hour later. I wanted to answer, and the call emitted a tone and was canceled. I think it comes from there, that everything is automated and that it’s their computer that automatically makes this call. I just had the same thing too. Except that it was a bit different... On my landline, the calling number was mine with a 0 in front, and a rather deep voice introduced itself and said "my name is intel (I don't remember exactly ^^ I was a bit out of it XD) I need to transmit an important message, press 1." Good evening,  I see that the case of "I'm calling my landline from my landline" is not isolated.  Well, I'm joining the club.  Since last Thursday, my landline has been calling my landline. There is no extra 0, it's just my plain phone number.  I'm with France Télécom for the landline and Free for the internet without using a Free number.  However, the problem occurred the day after a blackout from Free in my area. I don't think there is a link, but you never know, considering that my Freebox is plugged into the same phone socket as my landline.  Should I contact France Télécom to ask them about the possible causes? Hello, I just received 2 calls on my mobile from... "myself"! Since I saved my number in the contacts, it wasn’t the number (+336...) that showed up but directly the name I associated with it, that is to say "myself"! Hello everyone, Just to report that I have the same problem on my landline: I'm getting calls from my own landline number preceded by an extra 0. I answer: I'm asked to wait for the caller and then it hangs up automatically. It's already annoying me as it is, but on top of that, for almost a week now, I've been receiving these calls in the middle of the night (12am, 2:30am, 4:00am).  I’m with Bouygues Telecom, so I asked the seller what this could possibly be coming from (since the problem started when I got the Bbox).  At first glance, no issues with the operator, but the seller himself had this problem. In his case, it was Canal + that was broadcasting his own number (I don't know how he found out by the way).  Since I'm not subscribed to Canal + and some of you are having these issues with MAAF or others, the problem seems generic and targeted at automated callbacks.  As for me, I just went to file a complaint for phone harassment since it’s impossible to reach the caller on the line.  If this continues, I’m involving "UFC Que Choisir", because it's really becoming oppressive.

Good evening, I don't have an answer for you.  However, a friend had told me about the same problem.  He was on the street when his phone rang. He answered, but no one spoke to him.  When he looked at the caller ID, it was the number of his apartment. He freaked out because he was over 1000 miles away.  He called one of his buddies who was there to check it out, and I don't know much more except that it was seven years ago and since then we found my friend hanging in his apartment.  Your story reminded me too much of him.  I'm sure it has nothing to do with what you're going through, but there you go.

Free, through the Freebox, allows "SIP" (Session Initiation Protocol) calls.
For example, the iPhone app "iSip" allows you to make calls (after entering your Freebox credentials) via IP (therefore for free) as long as you are connected to Wi-Fi on the iPhone.
The calling number that appears is the Freebox subscriber number... so your own number.

I used this feature to call France when I was in Vietnam.
It worked very well; however, the hardest part was convincing your friends that you were 12,000 km away while the calling number was that of your home...
