Hello,
Here is my problem, I have a HANNS-G HC191D monitor and when I turned it on yesterday..., it keeps turning on and off.
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3.0.13

    This is a problem that seems to occur often with this type of monitor.
    For my part, I am an electronics technician and the fault comes from the power supply for the backlight.
    (For your information, I changed the capacitor in the switch-mode power supply, a simple and inexpensive repair (less than 1 euro!)). In these monitors, the circuit boards are very compact, so there is often a cooling issue.
    If you know someone who can do it, or if you can do it yourself, it's really simple.

      Hello,
      I have the same issue with my Hanns.G HX 191 DP screen and like DGY, I can't identify or locate the faulty component(s).
      I opened the device and removed the two boards, but since I don't know anything about it, I put everything back together.
      If David could provide some details: the type of component(s) to be replaced, their locations on one of the two boards, and of course, if possible, a photo or simply a diagram, it would help with the repair.
      I have a friend, who is a bit of a computer guy, who could assist me.
      Note: after numerous plugging and unplugging and turning on and off, the screen is willing to turn on...

    Same with a 3-year-old monitor: green LED flashing and the screen doesn't turn on upon receiving the VGA signal (it "restarts" when I unplug the power cord), it's really outrageous. I guess I should avoid this brand.

    Hello,

    The problem is indeed the poor quality capacitors with a very short lifespan.

    For 400 µF, I changed 2 of them; you need to disassemble the monitor. The capacitors are green and are swollen or black if they are faulty.

    If anyone has the answer about the capacitor to replace, I'm interested, my Hanns-G only blinks without turning on!
    I was also told that there is a CMS fuse that can prevent the screen from turning on and that it also manifests itself through the blinking of the power indicator!

    Hi,

    I have the same problem with 2 HANNS-G HN198D monitors,

    when turned on, the green indicator blinks but the monitor doesn't turn on, and the time it stays off is increasing,

    I replaced the 2 capacitors 1000uf/10v with 1000uf/16v, they last a bit longer like this,

    it's not hard to spot, they're swollen and rounded on the top.

    Exactly the same thing, we bought 3 monitors of this brand at the same time in my company, and the three broke down 1 month apart!!
    The capacitors have the same problem (bulged), I will replace these damn capacitors with higher voltage ones if possible, and I will test it.
