Hello,

I don't know what to do anymore; my laptop is not working. The message that appears is as follows: The file is possibly corrupt. The file header checksum does not match the computed checksum.

I tried to enter the BIOS by pressing F2, but nothing changes; I am told that I need to reinstall everything, but I don't remember saving anything.

I wonder if I should completely reinstall Windows Vista, knowing that I will lose my data.

    You can repair it with the Vista CD without formatting the PC.

    repair vista without the dvd: download the WAIK from Microsoft, create the winPE dvd, boot from it and repair the pc
