My PS3 controller won't charge anymore. Closed

I have a problem with my 2 PS3 controllers. They were working fine yesterday, but today they won't charge anymore. I plugged the USB cable into my PS3 as usual, but nothing happens; it's as if they're not connected. If they're on, they stay on, and if they're off, they stay off.

So, here's how to resynchronize PS3 controllers that no longer want to connect via Bluetooth.

- Turn on the PS3
- Connect the controller to be synchronized with a USB cable, and press the PS button once to turn it on
- Then turn off the console with the controller by doing the following: long press on the PS button of the controller, then "Turn off the system."
- When the console is off, press the PS button on the controller (still connected with the cable) once; this will turn on the PS3 and synchronize the controller.
Once the system is on and the controller light is solid, unplug it, and voilà, it works again!!!!

The computer recognized the controller so the USB cable is working, but when I connected my MP3 to my PlayStation 3, it didn’t recognize it, even though it usually does.

For me it's the same, my controller was working very well and just now it ran out of battery, so I plugged it into my computer with the USB cable and ... nothing, no response. I tried it on the Play.... exactly the same thing, I tried with another cable... same =( =(

Has my controller gone bad? Do I need to replace it or is there a way to reset it (to factory settings)? Or am I looking at spending €60 at Micromania? ^^ (please don't say yes to my third question, please ^^ )

Hi, I had the same problem. You need to reset it using something sharp on your controller (behind). You charge it on your PS3 and then reset it. Bye.

I just bought a PS3 with the Moov controller

everything works.......

except for the (new) controller which won't turn on
I've plugged it into the USB ports, no signal

as for the Moov controller, the START button doesn't work.

I will exchange it tomorrow.

I also had the same problem. I had to play with the cable plugged into the console.
The problem is that the battery is dead. I had the controller for 3 years.
I took apart the controller, bought a battery for the PS3 controller, and there you go.
My controller works well to this day.

you need to know that behind the joystick there is a reset button, BUT WHERE!!!!!
BEHIND THE JOYSTICK THERE IS THE PLACE WHERE THERE IS A SCREW AND RIGHT NEXT TO IT THERE IS A LITTLE HOLE
THIS ONE IS THE ONE THAT INTERESTS US!!! TAKE A PEN AND POKE THIS SPOT YOUR JOYSTICK SHOULD BE RESET SO YOU CAN RECHARGE IT

Hi, I have the same problem. I bought 2 controllers and just received them 10 minutes ago. I connected them to the PS3, but one works and the other doesn’t.
