Hello,
I received the Luxya PCS-3000 camera as a gift for my birthday!
To avoid deleting the photos every day, yesterday I bought an SD card...
Unfortunately, when I insert it, my camera freezes, it stays on WELCOM, and I can't even turn it off; I have to open the battery compartment...
If you could help me, that would be great...
Thank you,
Andy

You may have inserted an incompatible memory card, such as a super high capacity one of 4-8-16GB, while the camera cannot support that much. Try using a memory card of up to 2GB, or simply called a 2GB SD card. Beyond 2GB, it's SDHC.
Normally, it is indicated on the box whether or not a certain product supports SDHC or SD. Furthermore, regarding the maximum capacity, even if SDHC is supported, not all devices can handle up to 32 GB (the maximum size to date) but may accept up to 4-8 or even 16 GB depending on the age of the device.
In the latter case, you can find this information in the provided manual, either on the type and sizes of the cards or at the very beginning in the product presentation... or at the very end in the summary of all the product specifications.
Keep me informed, thank you.

SOSSO should certainly not have waited almost two years without finding a solution to their problem. The issue is resolved and there's no need to dig up the past... :-))
Luke.
Anyway, I just wanted to add this for you nina69: if I mentioned reading the manual, it's because maybe 2% of people read the manuals. And it's 98% of the users here who don't read them, come to the forums later for help while everything is explained in the manual! That's why!
Furthermore, you say that if soso had the manual she wouldn't be asking the question. No, that goes back to what I said earlier, and if that were the case, if he/she doesn't have the manual anymore, he/she could for example:
1°) go to the manufacturer’s website to retrieve it in pdf
2°) contact the manufacturer directly to ask about things he/she doesn't know/can't find/doesn’t understand
3°) go back to the store where the camera was purchased and ask the knowledgeable salesperson if he/she is competent enough to provide information.
Best regards
