To capture Deoxys, you need to change the date and time on your DS to August 20th at midnight. Then, go to Voilaroc, stand in front of all the meteors, and press A on each of the meteors. If it works, Deoxys will appear.

He is not available in Platinum, you can "only" have Palkia, Dialga, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Cresselia, Heatran and of course Giratina.

Otherwise, what Paulo says is false. It has been said online that a Nintendo distribution of Deoxys would take place in August, but even if it had happened, simply setting your DS date to that day wouldn't be enough to get the event!

You need to do 500 battles in the battle area, then you will get a ticket. After that, go to Voilaroc, to a house near the arena where there is a clown. Then, you will talk to one of the meteorites to the east of the city, where there are 4 meteorites (4 forms of Deoxys): speed, attack, defense, and normal.
