Footnotes are not displaying.

Hello,

I have a problem with my footnotes for my thesis... At the beginning of the text when I insert a note, the number and the text at the bottom of the page display correctly. However, just after a table I created, it stops working. The numbers appear next to the text but not the text of my note at the bottom. I can still write since I see the tooltip, but the text written at the bottom is not visible. And, in normal view, I can see the note just fine. I don't understand. Could it be due to a style...

What should I do, please need help..
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

Hello Raphee

The note must have appeared on the next page.
Word normally reserves the necessary space to display the content of footnotes on the footnote call page. But if your table is too large for the layout you planned and/or you have too many notes on that page, the note that doesn’t fit will overflow.

Try: - either reducing your table if possible to see if the note moves up, - or reducing the bottom margin. If you don’t want to change the margins for the entire document, insert this page into a section.

Work on a copy of the document to test…
And let us know

Hello,
Yes, I'm sorry, it's under the Word 2003 software from Office.
And what more can I say except that the footnote numbers are displayed next to the text but not the text of the note, which is supposed to appear at the bottom of the page.

Thank you.

You're reinstalling the software... Or you're buying a newer version... Or you might as well get Open Office 3.0. I hope that helped you.
