unable to select Excel cell

Question

Hello,

In my Excel spreadsheet, when I click on any cell, 3 or 4 cells are selected at the same time. When I hold down the left mouse button, what appears at the top left in the name box is: 3R x 1C or 4R x 1C.
Can someone explain to me why? And how can I get back to selecting only one cell at a time?

Hello Roulans!

I had the same problem as you. Multiple boxes are selected when you try to click on one box. That box might be too small.

When you click, just make sure to position the mouse pointer all the way to the left in the box you want to select.

Try to go select in the top left where it says the selected cell (for example C17), move the selection down with the small black arrow, "print_titles", it highlights the title in blue... then click in any cell and it should be fixed... I don't understand why but it seems to work...!
