Hello,

I keep trying at the fairground, but I can never climb that spinning ladder.

Does anyone have a solution or a useful tip? YouTube and Google haven't helped me.

Rope Ladder
The trick to climbing carnival rope ladders is to completely ignore the "rungs" and use only the outer cables to climb.

While applying equal pressure with your right foot and left arm, move your left foot and right arm simultaneously. Then do the same thing with the opposite limbs - you wiggle your way up the ladder.

Do not move both hands or both feet at the same time - you will lose your balance.

Excellent, I also tried it in the south this summer, near Saint-Raphaël, Antibes, I can't remember too well. It was too awful.
I don't think there's anything to it, it's more a question of balance, or rather being a balancer, with training, the guy was comfortably climbing, standing without hands, or on all fours, with incredible ease.
Despite my 9 attempts at a high price (10 euros), I didn't even reach the second rung;

Hello, indeed I think the only way is to practice.
One remark, the position of the arms, I've noticed that the fairground workers keep their elbows below their shoulders, while people tend to lean with their hands far in front of them, which puts their elbows in front of their shoulders.

Afterwards, in the southwest, I've seen fairground workers pay the winners with an insult like "now get lost!" But well, the winners are often fairground workers from other attractions passing by to give their colleagues a little treat.
If you go with a group, there must be a way to get them to pay you, by furrowing your brows and putting pressure on them quickly, before their friends arrive, or you can wait until around 10 PM or 11 PM when a lot of drunken people start arriving and watching.

Good evening,

Here is a scam that is simple and clever; in order to climb the ladder, the carnival worker just needs to have a weight placed on them, and if you take a good look, you will see weights at the top and bottom on each end, which creates stability for the ladder, allowing them to climb without any problem.

  My name is Louise and I was 12 years old when I managed to climb the ladder.
  My family and I went to Antibes Land, which is an amusement park in Antibes.
  I wanted to try that famous ladder game. I had the choice of paying €5 for 3 tries or paying €8 for 5 tries. I chose the second option.
  After climbing, on the fourth attempt, I managed to reach the top of the ladder. That year, I wasn't very tall, and once I reached the top of the ladder, I leaned against the wall where the top of the ladder was attached to pull the bell.
  Once I came down, the man running the booth didn't want to give me the prize, which was €100. There was a large crowd around, who wanted the fairground worker to give me the ticket since I had succeeded. We battled for a good fifteen minutes, with me standing there, not moving, watching them "argue." After fifteen minutes, he gave me the ticket, thanks to the "boss" of the fairground workers in that park, who ordered him to give it to me. Some security guys came over because a fight almost broke out.
  Anyway, we still haven't left for fear that they might "hold a grudge" against us.

Hello!
So, having already tested it (and yes it's extremely difficult) and having then talked to one of the fairground workers who does this "attraction", the technique (at least on "all fours") is to distribute your weight 50/50 on the arm and the opposite leg, thus the weight is perfectly balanced and it is possible to hold your balance.

But as he himself says, few succeed simply because finding this balance is extremely delicate since the two pivot points are super greasy and therefore as soon as the balance is no longer perfect, it spins :s

The fairground worker does not use the same disks as you, the ones he gives you have a few tenths of a millimeter difference, so it is impossible for you to succeed.
