Press Enter 5 times at startup, then F10 and change the CPU temperature FSB, and the Celeron PC will overclock easily.

enter the BIOS and increase the FSB

risk

PC not booting or unstable

CPU overheating leading to its destruction (most pessimistic hypothesis)

Salut les gars, vous dites depuis le début qu'un Celeron est sensible, mais mes Celeron faisaient 3,2 au début et maintenant ils en font 3,55 et je n'ai pas de problèmes.

Celerons are sensitive processors; using overclocking on a 2GHz Celeron does not provide enough power gain to justify the risk of overheating and discovering a slew of blue screens.

Instead of overclocking, buy something more powerful, or invest in a good fan.

What do you mean by the FSB?

The FSB is the frequency of the bus that connects the processor to the chipset, to the memory, to certain external cache, and to other buses.

Given the age of the PC, you can have fun with it, but don't expect to turn it into a racing machine; what you gain won't be noticeable.

fsb = front side bus
Actual communication speed between the processor and the rest of the components on the motherboard.

I found a small software called CPUFSB.
When I started the program, I tried to increase the frequency, but the speed indicator doesn't change.
PS: If you want to try this program to test it, send me your email so I can forward it to you.

The increase of the FSB is done in the BIOS; upon startup, press delete (or F10, depending on your PC) and navigate through the menus of your BIOS until you find where the speed of your CPU is referenced, and there you can increase your FSB.

PS: Overclocking a Celeron is not very useful; you won't gain much, it's the lack of second-level cache memory that makes the Celeron a crappy CPU and it will remain that way.

Hello
I installed a Celeron D with a base speed of 3.06 GHz. I've overclocked it by 15% in my BIOS (Asus motherboard for €60)! ((Brand: [P5KPL-AM/PS]))
I am currently at 3.53 GHz (15%)!
I would like to know if it would be too risky to increase it to 20% (I can go up to 30% in my BIOS)!
Thank you for your responses
Best regards
Kevin

Check with Everest if the processor is not overheating.

Kevin looks at the temperatures and if your budget allows it, opt for water cooling, I have it and it's really great.
PS: Check the temperatures with SpeedFan.
