Hello, my name is Danaé and I'm 10 years old. I live in Paris (75) and I would like to become a famous artist, but I don't know where to start and I've never talked to my parents about it for fear they would make fun of me and discourage me. I would like some help, knowing that all my friends and my music teacher say that I sing very well! Please help me!

"If you want to become an artist, sign up for Star Academy."

MOUHAHAHAHA I hope that was just a joke... (and with the spelling that hurts the eyes too - a collector's phrase!^^)

No, seriously, being an ARTIST (not to be confused with a KNOWN SINGER, which has absolutely nothing to do with it), whether known or not, is indeed, as Kwey pointed out, a tremendous amount of work... get as much support as possible from your teacher, your friends, and your family to encourage you, work on your voice to the max... Being recognized for your talent (and not gaining some "ephemeral glory" through who knows what reality TV show) is an extremely lengthy and difficult endeavor.

However, having real talent (in anything) is something rare, a gift that should not be overlooked... So if you truly have one, go for it! Dive in! Do concerts (try to find opportunities, your music teacher might be able to help with that)! (Kwey was right on that point too...)

And regarding your parents' opinions, in my view, there is no reason for them to mock you. If they see that singing is really something you are passionate about, I'm convinced they will support you...

Well, all I have left to do is wish you good luck... the only sure way to succeed is hard work, and above all, don't get discouraged!

Hi.
At 10 years old, your voice can change a lot, you know, later on.
Besides, the life of an artist is very hard, very exhausting. I'm not saying this to discourage you, but to show you that it's all well and good to see people singing on TV, well-dressed, etc., but behind that, it's a lot of work.
Otherwise, you can always try talking to your parents about taking you to auditions for movies, shows, to see what you're worth.
Have a good day.

And your music teacher can perhaps help you by doing a few concerts with your school, etc.;

If you want to become an artist, sign up for Star Academy.

But first, I recommend you choose a music style that many people like.
Then, once you've decided, try to ask your parents to buy you musical instruments for Christmas, etc.

After that, once you have a decent rhythm, download a free website to record your voice and your rhythm, and try to improve each time.

You make your personal album in secret.

Then, once you're old enough, you send an application to Star Academy.

And if you don't succeed there, you create your songs and put them on MySpace (that's a website) and look for a publisher.

Hello, I am an 11-year-old girl and my name is Jeffly. I would like to become an artist like Danaé wishes. I live in Paris (93) and I haven’t told my parents yet what I want to do. I’m not afraid that they will discourage me, and I follow my grandfather's advice: you have to face your dreams even if everyone says it’s impossible… Please help me, I beg you!
