Mp3 reloading Carrefour BMP8208

Hello,
I am the owner of a Carrefour BMP8208 MP3 player.
After reading the manual, I still can't charge this MP3!
I plug it into my computer with the provided cable, the computer detects it, I can put music on it... but it doesn't charge!!! I can leave it on the computer for two days and it doesn't change; after 10 seconds, it turns off! It's not a computer issue because I've also tried with my father's.
Thank you for your future responses!!!
Configuration: Windows Vista Safari 525.27.1

I found it randomly that to charge when it is plugged in, you need to hold down the unlock button and the battery indicator will show up and it will charge. For the videos, apparently the format is FLV; for me, it worked randomly. In fact, the manual is really poorly made for this product. Hoping this helps you, bye.

Moi, quand je vais dans paramètres et que je veux changer la date et l’heure, je clique après, je règle la date (je mets le jour) et je ne sais pas comment aller sur le mois et l’année.

I think you need to press the pause button.

    Hello,

I just received it as a gift. I charged it this morning, and it is still charging after 3 hours and 30 minutes (the battery charging indicator turned on automatically after plugging it in via USB). The device was off when I plugged it in.
It has charged (one bar at first, now three), but it continues to charge. Do you know the charging time, the runtime in MP3 mode, and the type of battery? (no info in the manual!).

    Thank you,

Regarding video compatibility, it seems that the issue most people encounter is the resolution. You need to encode videos in a format for mobile devices (low resolution) since the device cannot handle HD or standard (normal with a 2.4-inch screen).

I have a problem too because after charging the battery, it has a very low autonomy
I will let it charge again; if there are no better results, I will return it
I charged it for about 1 hour and 30 minutes until the 3 bars at the top stopped flashing.

Personally, I turn it off, plug it in with the provided USB cable to my powered-on computer, and it is immediately detected by the computer as a storage volume; the device lights up, and charging starts.

Did you turn it off before plugging it in? (I haven’t tried it with the device on, but that might be it).

Yes, I turn it off, I plug it into the computer, it detects it, the battery indicator is charging too, but it's been several days that the MP4 has been plugged in and nothing. In fact, it's the first time the battery has run out, and since then it won't charge anymore. Anyway, thank you very much for your response Althaz, I'm going to try plugging it back in while it's turned off and see what happens. Thanks again!!

Please help me, I'm looking for the firmware for this MP4

It's a group of files inside this MP4, there are rarely hidden files on this MP4
    Please send it to me.

    Good evening,

I don't know if I'll be much help to you because I had this problem with a completely different mp3 and not at all the same brand as yours.
    Just in case...
My problem stemmed from the fact that to charge the mp3, the part that plugs into the USB port shouldn't be pushed all the way into the port, whereas it should be fully inserted for transferring.
That doesn't mean the plug isn't secure; there are actually two connection notches.
I hope this is the answer to your problem...
If not, check with the customer service of your store; it might be a manufacturing defect.

For the videos, you need to use FLV. I managed to get it to charge; you have to keep the screen lock button pressed, it shows the battery indicator, and then it charges.

It's not that, but it's just the video format that's causing an issue.
They need to be converted. I know how to do it, but I need the video formats accepted by MP4.

What do you mean by very weak?

I've spent over 4 hours adjusting the sound and doing tests. I only have the last bar left; we'll see how long that lasts. I haven't tried the video for now, just MP3s.

low = less than 1 hour
      I mainly watched videos
I'm going to test it with music only...

I found on a forum that to make the charge indicator appear, you have to hold down the lock button
I'm going to charge it to see....
otherwise, I saw that flv videos are compatible and the test is positive, which could be interesting.

test with the mp3 = 2h of battery life after 4h of charging
I'm going to change it hoping that I just got a bad one....

Hello, I have exactly the same problem with this MP4. Once the battery ran out for the first time, it’s impossible to recharge it! It’s been 4 days that it’s been connected to the computer and still nothing. I saw in the answers that you need to hold down the lock button, but should it be in MSC or MTP mode?
Thank you for your future replies... Carrefour is going to get burnt one day or another with these products lol!
    Thanks!

YOU NEED TO PLUG IT INTO A USB PORT, 2 IS BEST, AT THE BACK OF YOUR COMPUTER, AND DEFINITELY NOT ON A HUB OR USB1, NOT ENOUGH POWER, UNLESS IT'S A BATTERY ISSUE, SO IF THAT'S THE CASE, USE YOUR WARRANTY.
