My MP4 is not charging on the computer with the USB stick when I plug it in, how can I charge it please?

Hello everyone.
Following your questions concerning how to charge an mp4, I had a procedure that worked very well under Windows XP with a 4GB "Hip Street". You just need to connect it (turned off) to the computer using the USB cable. Then it will turn on by itself but only in USB mass storage mode. From there, a small icon in the system tray near the clock at the bottom right should appear. Hovering the pointer over this icon, a notification
saying "Safely Remove Hardware" should show up. Right-clicking on this icon and selecting "Eject" in the context menu should open another window with your mass storage device highlighted. Then press "Stop" and exit. Leave your mp4 connected even after the message that you can safely remove your device. You should then see on your MP4 that the battery is charging. This procedure worked very well under XP but since I switched to Vista, it no longer works.....another disappointment with this operating system. If by chance someone knows how to charge it under Vista, I would be grateful if you could share how to do it.

I confirm ^^ I bought a Grandin MP4 that is 2GB, to charge it the MP4 must be in the on position. For me, I just need to press a small button at the top to turn it on, then I plug it in and it charges by itself ^^

Pour pouvoir mettre des fichiers sur votre MP4 Grandin, voici quelques étapes à suivre :

1. **Vérifiez la connexion** : Assurez-vous que votre MP4 est correctement connecté à votre ordinateur via le câble USB.

2. **Alimentez l'appareil** : Assurez-vous que votre MP4 est allumé. Certains appareils doivent être allumés pour se connecter correctement à l'ordinateur.

Hi, I had the same problem as you and I entrusted my MP4 to my friends to recharge it for me. Alternatively, you can go to a supermarket to buy an MP4 charger that plugs into your home outlet. And to be able to add songs, just ask your friends.  I don’t know if my advice will help you, or if you might have already thought of it, but there you go. Hello everyone, I got an mp3/mp4 ov18 2gb for Christmas, but when I connect it to my PC and open the mpman software, the battery bar moves and then stops immediately. Pour charger un fichier MP4 sur un appareil avec un câble USB, suivez ces étapes :
