Hello,
I am using GIMP 2.6.6.

I want to create a kind of wooden sign, forest-style.
In a texture, I "cut out" planks that I copy/paste onto a new blank page. I arrange my planks, but I can’t find a function that allows me to send the plank I copy/paste to the back (background) of the planks I've already placed.

Please describe this trick that is certainly very simple.

    Have you tried passing the newly filled layer underneath?
