Audio/video lag LCD Thomson 46FE9234

Hello,

I bought a Thomson 46FE9234 LCD screen, and I'm experiencing an audio/video delay issue when trying to play DVDs.

I connected it to a Samsung Blu-ray player via HDMI and I get the HD picture, but the sound is almost inaudible (there's a delay and a lot of noise).

I connected it to a Sony DVD player via scart, and I still get the picture, but the sound is completely out of sync with the image.

Both players work perfectly on another television.

I did some research online and it seems that one possibility might be to enter the service menu, but I can't find any way to access it.

Has anyone encountered this issue or can tell me how to enter this menu on this LCD model?

Thank you all for your help.

Well guys, I was given a really simple solution, you go to:

Menu>Sound>Language>Undefined

And it seems silly, but it fixed my lag issue, I actually found the answer on this site, have a good day.

Me too, problem solved by switching to Undefined. Thanks Leone di Cielo, 1 out of 3 DVDs didn’t sync. Phew

Note a little tricky tip. On my TV model, if you are in HDMI while playing a DVD, the "Sound" menu does not offer the "language" option. You have to do the operation in TV mode to access the Language line and thus set it to Undefined.
