Animated GIF Copy :(

Question

Hello,

I find that there are such beautiful animated gifs on the internet, I would like to use them but every time I save one it freezes and loses its animation. The same goes for the smileys :(
Here’s how I proceed: I right-click with my mouse, and then I simply save the image.

Could you please tell me the steps to follow in order to copy the gif in animation and not just a still image of it?

Hi,

I don't see why the image didn't save properly; theoretically, you should see your image appear as a gif file. Maybe when you save it, the default type is jpeg or even bitmap, and in that case, you need to set your type as .gif, and normally your image should move ^^

So try downloading software with more options for file types... there is Paint of course... but you can download others, explore a bit on the net... Google is your friend :D

Say, maybe the person just has AOL so the only options to save are BMP & ART^^ it then becomes more difficult to save GIFs :o)   -- And a time for every thing under heaven ...

I have exactly the same problem; all the images or gifs I want to save automatically open as Bitmap and under the name "Untitled".

I specify that I am not with Aol.

I have the same issue as you, namely that I can only save animated images as bitmaps, so they are static.
