Press Ctrl like it's held down

Hello everyone,
I'm at a friend's house to post since my laptop keyboard isn't working properly.
Actually, it feels like the Control (Ctrl) key is stuck: when I press T (and only T) in my browser, a new tab opens, etc...
I removed the two Ctrl keys to see if there was any dust, but apparently there isn't.
I also held down Ctrl to mimic disabling sticky keys, but it didn't help (I pressed it several times in a row to be sure).
Finally, I followed the method I found online, which involves pressing Ctrl + Shift, and then using CCleaner to "clean the computer".
Yet, the problem is still very much there.
What should I do?
