Hello,
I bought the Navigon 8110 but when I try to update the software and maps, which should be free for 2 years with the package, an error message always appears: "Error accessing a file on the FTP server. Please ensure that the Internet connection is functioning." However, the Internet is working; I've also tried via Ethernet cable. Still the same message. Thank you for your help.

Hello,
I bought a Navigon 8110 in August 2009, and I want to update it, but once I start the update, I get the same error message as yours: "Error accessing a file on the FTP server. Make sure the Internet connection is working." What should I do!!!!
Please provide me with the ideal solution.

Go to http://www.navigon.com/site/fr/fr/maps_services/navigon_fresh
Install the Navigon Fresh software, it should be free.
Then connect the GPS to the PC with the USB cable.
Turn on the GPS.
Launch Navigon Fresh.
Create a MyNavigon account and log in.
Register the connected GPS (it's important to register it).
Click on the "my system" icon in the Navigon Fresh menu
Click on Map Guarantee.
Download the updates but first make a backup of your system on Navigon Fresh in case the updates cause any problems.
I hope it works.

I have acquired a GPS Navigon 6350 live, and I can't seem to get it to work. When I turn it on, the GPS says "Unable to start NAVIGON software
Please reset your device
Contact the NAVIGON service center if the problem persists."
I have done a reset, even several, both short and long. No luck.
I installed Navigon Fresh, and when I tried to update the Navigon, Navigon Fresh says
"The system could not find NAVIGON software on this card. Please insert a card with NAVIGON software."
