IMAGE TOO WIDE ON THE SAMSUNG LE40A676

Hello,
On my SAMSUNG LE40A676 TV, I cannot adjust the image in WIDTH.
Regardless of the format type, 4/3, zoom, 16/9, there is about 4 to 5 cm missing on the width of the screen and this is true for all channels.
As a result, I miss data like on the LCI channel or scores on football matches....
All characters are distorted and "squished".

I receive TV via satellite.

I want to emphasize the width of the screen and not the height.

When, on the TV screen, the image appears too wide for the screen, even though the image has been properly adjusted using the remote control of the set AND the image is received via satellite (Canal decoder), one MUST NOT FORGET to make the same adjustment on the decoder (Menu, Installation, TV Installation, then set to 16/9). The problem then disappears: you can finally see the weather temperatures all the way to the right of the screen, the scrolling news tickers in their entirety, the football scores, etc. :-)

Thank you for the tip. I had a problem reading the subtitles on my Samsung television. After trying to adjust the picture through the TV menu, I hadn't thought of doing it through my decoder. Everything is sorted now.

Thank you very much for this tip. I was losing hope of getting a normal image on my TV. It was stretched as if the zoom had been activated and locked. I could only see part of the screen. I turned off the Canal+ decoder and when I restarted it, the image was normal again. Thank youuuuu!
