How to save on My Sims PC?

Hello,

I have a big problem, I recently downloaded the game My Sims on PC and I have no idea how to save, and it bothers me quite a bit :S

    To save your game, you first need to finish building your house, then construct the chair, and after that, it's either after you've built the podium for the mayor or before. Anyway, you press the space bar on your keyboard and select save. The mayor tells you all that at the beginning, after some simple little tasks, just read! LOL
