The log in the sims 2 castaway on ds

In the Sims Castaway on DS, I can't find the log (very sturdy piece of wood). Please help me, I've been stuck for 2 months.

    The log can be exchanged with a Sim who is already on the island, which is the doctor. Select her and make the exchange; she will offer you something in return.
